Responsibilities

The Opportunity:

The Senior Technical Data Science Manager is responsible for shaping and executing the strategic vision for advanced analytics and machine learning within the marketing and commercial functions. This role focuses on developing, scaling, and maintaining cutting-edge data science models that generate actionable insights and measurable business value while aligning with broader organizational goals.

This position identifies and prioritizes high-impact opportunities for machine learning applications, ensuring solutions strategically support key business objectives such as customer growth, market share expansion, and revenue optimization. It also emphasizes the design and deployment of robust, scalable, and reliable machine learning solutions for long-term impact.

Leading a team of data science professionals, this role fosters a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and strategic thinking. Additionally, it drives collaboration with cross-functional leaders in marketing, sales, and IT to embed data-driven decision-making across the organization and influence long-term data strategy and governance.

Your Impact:

As Analytics Insights Manager your functions would consist of

• Define and oversee the strategic roadmap for AI/ML model development, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and long-term business objectives.

• Design, build, and deploy machine learning models to optimize marketing campaigns, customer segmentation, pricing strategies, and sales forecasting.

• Establish clear performance, scalability, and accuracy standards for model deployment to maximize business impact.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to identify high-value opportunities for integrating machine learning into marketing and commercial operations.
• Develop and implement a long-term strategy to ensure model reliability, adaptability, and relevance in evolving business environments.
• Establish frameworks to detect performance drifts, ensure timely updates, and proactively mitigate risks.
• Drive the adoption of MLOps best practices to automate model retraining and enhance deployment efficiency at scale.
• Oversee risk management processes to troubleshoot and resolve production issues with minimal business disruption.
• Partner with marketing and commercial leadership to identify strategic opportunities where data science can drive growth, enhance market share, and optimize campaign performance.
• Develop predictive models for campaign optimization, attribution modeling, and sales enablement, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Translate high-level business goals into actionable data science strategies, advising marketing and commercial teams on data-driven decision-making.
• Work with trade and demand planning teams to enhance sales forecasting and trade promotion effectiveness through advanced analytics.
• Define the vision and strategic priorities for the data science team, ensuring alignment with business objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data scientists, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Manage capacity planning and resource allocation to ensure timely execution of high-priority initiatives.
• Promote technical and leadership development within the team, building a strong, adaptable, and future-ready workforce.
• Provide guidance to team members in the S&T Hyderabad HUB, ensuring effective collaboration across time zones and cultural differences.
• Drive the company’s data strategy by implementing advanced analytics frameworks and scalable cloud-based solutions using AWS tools.
• Establish and enforce policies for data quality, compliance, and governance in collaboration with IT, data engineering, and legal teams.
• Advocate for data-driven decision-making across marketing, sales, and commercial teams, embedding analytics into strategic processes.
• Lead the organization’s transformation into a data-first culture by ensuring analytics insights inform decision-making at all levels.
Qualifications

Who Are We Looking For? 

Education

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

Experience

• 8+ years in data science and machine learning, including at least 3 years leading teams or projects.
• Proven track record of deploying and maintaining machine learning models in production.
• Experience in the CPG industry or working with marketing and sales data is highly desirable.
• Advanced proficiency in English (spoken and written).
