Responsibilities

The Opportunity 

  • Developing and implementing planograms by categories and clients.
  • Maintaining share of shelf space greater than or equal to market share.
  • Analyzing data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends.
  • Devising long-term development strategies for product categories.
  • Developing exit strategies for unsuccessful products.

Your Impact

As Sales Category Management Analyst your functions would consist of:

  • Continuous development of information tools along analytical techniques to provide high-level solutions and business selling stories.
  • Assist Category Manager in conducting consumer / buyer studies.
  • Train the sales and marketing team in the use of available tools and how to use the insights to develop actionable sales strategies and tactics.
  • Attend Sales meetings to impart performance standards to Merchandisers and Sellers.
  • Develop and implement planograms by category and client.
  • Ensure the distribution and placement of new products in the trade.
  • Develop fact-based presentations by sales channels to support key business initiatives across all channels.
  • Visiting clients regularly to conduct follow-up audits, analysis, recommendations and presentations to clients by category.
  • Build relationships with customers by providing objectives, information, insights of the category and the value-added market, supporting the management of the sales team.
  • Support the Stage Gate process for the effective launch of new products.
  • Lead setting coordinators in the implementation of planograms
  • Establish contact and conduct projects with the regional teams Caricam and Latam
  • Establish contact with the teams of the Local Accounts (Selectos,Ralphs,Mr. Special, Agranel and Plaza Loiza) and make visits to the central offices of said accounts
  • Prepare and update POS execution in Playbook in assigned accounts.
  • Responsible for the Discovery in the Joint Business Plan (JBP) of the Customer Engagement Model for Local accounts in coordination with the Key Account Managers.
  • Analyze data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends
  • Devise long-term development strategies for product categories
  • Develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products
  • Determine the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility
  • Collaborate with buyers and merchandisers to expand product categories
Qualifications

Who Are We Looking For? 

  • BBA – Business Administration, marketing, or related field.
  • Proven experience as category manager or similar role
  • Experience supervising exempt and non-exempt employees.
  • Solid knowledge of category management, marketing, and sales principles
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • An analytical mind with a strategic ability
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Fully bilingual (English intermediate/Spanish)
  • Consumer oriented
  • Highly committed sales professional
