Overview

As the IT Lead for PGCS India, your primary responsibility will be ensuring seamless IT operations and service delivery across our Ujjain and Channo sites. You will drive operational stability, manage the delivery of technology services, and oversee the introduction of new capabilities to enhance our technological infrastructure. This role involves supervising a team of four IT professionals (two full-time employees and two contractors) and coordinating with managed service providers, including HCL and TATA, within the PGCS Sector CTO.

You will manage a sophisticated technology ecosystem encompassing networks, video conferencing, computing resources, workplace services, security protocols, manufacturing technology, and IT-OT integration. This infrastructure supports 165+ users across two diverse locations, covering both operational and administrative functions.

Responsibilities
  • Project Management and Technical Delivery: Lead complex, site-specific projects requiring in-depth technical knowledge of manufacturing applications, processes, and supporting systems. This will involve scoping, troubleshooting, and delivering tailored solutions for each site.
  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Take ownership of IT recovery management for critical applications, ensuring systems are resilient and responsive to any operational challenges.
  • Adherence to Governance and Compliance Standards: Operate within a highly controlled IT environment, enhancing and adhering to control procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
  • Cross-Site Collaboration: Build and sustain key relationships with IT teams across PGCS locations. Partner closely with service management, compute/network architecture, and PepsiCo’s global teams to align local initiatives with global standards.
  • Business Stakeholder Engagement: Engage proactively with key business stakeholders, addressing their needs and aligning IT strategies to support broader organizational objectives.
  • Team Development: Lead and inspire a high-performance IT team. Invest in team development by mentoring members, fostering talent, and promoting a culture of continuous learning.
  • Leadership Contribution: As a member of the PGCS India Leadership Team, contribute to broader strategic discussions and decision-making, ensuring that IT perspectives are integrated into the overall business strategy.
Qualifications
  • Educational Background and Extensive IT Experience: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 15 years in IT roles demonstrating progressive responsibility and expertise.
  • Strong IT Infrastructure Knowledge in Manufacturing Systems: Comprehensive experience in IT infrastructure, with proven knowledge of critical manufacturing systems and applications. Expertise across key areas such as network, compute, security, workplace services, and IT/OT integration.
  • Effective Vendor Management: Skilled in managing and governing relationships with third-party service providers (e.g., HCL, TATA, CTS), ensuring accountability, cost control, and performance excellence from external partners.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration and Relationship Building: Ability to foster strong, collaborative relationships across multiple functions and diverse teams, promoting alignment between IT services and business needs.
  • Advanced Project Management Capabilities: Experienced in planning, leading, and executing large-scale projects and programs, especially capital projects, ensuring timely delivery and resource efficiency.
  • Strong People and Influencing Skills: Excellent interpersonal and influencing abilities to work effectively with IT leadership, peers, and external organizations, achieving alignment on key initiatives and promoting teamwork.
  • Adaptability and Agility in Fast-Paced Environments: Comfortable working in dynamic conditions, with a talent for adjusting priorities and adapting to rapidly changing business requirements to maintain operational stability.
  • Technical Solution Assessment and Issue Resolution: Skilled in evaluating proposals for new solutions, scoping projects, and addressing or escalating issues with existing systems to ensure uninterrupted service.
  • Leadership in People Management: Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop a technical IT team, both on-site and remotely, fostering growth and enabling team members to thrive.
  • Strategic Understanding of Business and Technology Alignment: Deep understanding of business operations, priorities, and drivers, with knowledge of both IT and OT applications, ensuring technology initiatives align with and support business objectives.
