Overview

This role will 

  • Lead the APAC Sector S&T Finance organization
  • Lead the Singapore Hub Finance team
  • Support the APAC Sector Deployment Lead in delivering the S&T AOP
  • Ensure tracking and monitoring of S&T productivity for APAC
  • Ensure connectivity with the market business partners, Sector FP&A, Global S&T, and S&T Finance teams
  • Provide support to Sector FP&A and ensure alignment on S&T costs for the Sectors
  • Provide support in integrating local deployment and Global Finance strategic transformational projects
Responsibilities

APAC Sector Deployment Lead Support

  • Support the delivery of the Sector AOP through a monthly forecast and business review processes
  • Ensure adequate funding for Sector and S&T Governed investments
  • Monitor the S&T productivity initiatives and provide a risk and opportunities update monthly

Global S&T Finance

  • Part of the S&T Deployment Finance Leadership team
  • Active participation in Transformational project deployment
  • Review monthly actuals and forecasts with the Global S&T Finance team
  • Engage with the Central Planning team on the AOP
  • Ensure Horizontal Cross charge alignment between Global S&T and the Sector FP&A teams

Sector FP&A / CFO

  • Liaise with the Sector FP&A and ensure alignment with Sector CFO on the S&T budgets
  • Provide forecasts on the Sector HQ S&T costs to FP&A
  • Ensure alignment on Sector funded programs and provide regular updates on actuals/forecast

Singapore hub

  • Ensure all Sector costs are appropriately pooled in Singapore and charged to the markets
  • Manage the Bill-to-Plan Sector costs and ensure minimum variance to the Plan
  • Ensure cross charges for Sector investments through the hub are processed on a timely basis
  • Develop the Hub AOP
  • Manage and optimize/automate the P2P process for the Hub - ensure speedy approvals and timely payments to vendors

S&T Capex

  • Support the Deployment Lead in developing S&T Capex documents for key Sector initiatives

Process Simplification

  • Lead continuous improvements in the underlying processes, drive automation of existing processes
  • Ensure Global / Sector / Market cross charges are done in an efficient manner

People Management

  • Manage a team of 2 direct reports
  • Develop the skills of the team and support their career growth aspirations
  • Manage various stakeholders – S&T, FP&A at Market, BU, Sector, and Global level
Qualifications

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Seasoned executive with more than 10 years of Finance or Accounting experience
  • Professional qualification – Bachelor's and MBA Finance (preferred)
  • Highly analytical, motivated, and decisive leader with excellent managerial skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to influence senior leaders while working within the matrix of a Global function

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates the ability to simplify complex concepts and communicate in a digestible way
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team working in a virtual environment across different countries and time zones
  • Fluency in English and other APAC Sector languages is an advantage.
  • Ability to lead projects in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and work well with others
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP
  • Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Flexibility to travel within APAC countries.
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural environment
