Overview

To provide a supporting role to implement nutrition agenda for China Foods. The role will include guiding innovations to meet internal nutrition criteria as well as guiding portfolio transformation for existing products, delivering stage gate documentation and substantiation dossiers for new product development, partnering with cross-functional teams to translate life science into compelling communication claims and ensuring all nutrition claims are scientifically substantiated.

Responsibilities
  • Support life science agenda to drive innovation opportunities for China Foods category.
  • Partner with the R&D and business team to translate nutrition science into compelling on pack claims or communication messages.
  • Deliver Technical Stage gate nutrition activities and documentation at all stages of new product development.
  • Provide clear guidance on nutrition criteria for innovations and renovations based on the product category.
  • Assess product compliance vs. internal innovation guardrail; and submit the concessions via working with PD and global LS team.
  • Partner with R&D category to define formulation optimization opportunities to deliver claims while meeting internal nutritional guardrails.
  • Partner with RA and legal team to ensure documentation of all substantiation dossiers on claims.
  • Provide scientific evidence to support the nutritional communication(EC pages, TVC, In Store, POS, Social media, PR etc.).
  • Partner with R&D, Marketing and CA to engage key opinion leaders(KOLs) or influential nutrition organization to publish or communicate the nutrition and health benefits of foods groups or specific nutrients to support innovations as well as protect core business.
  • Provide Life Science support on nutritional label for innovation and productivity products.
  • Support Nutrition Data Reporting for China Foods via partnering with regional control owner.
Qualifications
  • Ph.D or Masters in a nutrition/health related discipline.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of working experiences as a nutritionist, preferred in the foods and beverage industry.
  • Literacy in both spoken & written Chinese is a must.
  • Fluent in English – with good writing and communication skills.
  • Excellent understanding of the broader business, health & nutrition environment, nutrition regulations and claim requirements in China.
  • Good understanding of the local customers nutritional and dietary requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Good team player and self-starter.
