Responsibilities

The Opportunity

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager – BIOps Program Management to oversee and optimize Business Intelligence Operations (BIOps) programs. This role requires a strong leader with expertise in BI governance, data analytics, cloud-based BI platforms, automation, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will implement scalable BIOps strategies, enhance BI platform performance, and ensure high availability, reliability, and efficiency of enterprise analytics solutions.
  • Manage and oversee BIOps programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives, data governance standards, and enterprise data strategy.
  • Implement real-time monitoring, automated alerting, and self-healing capabilities to enhance BI platform uptime and performance.
  • Develop and enforce BI governance models, operational frameworks, and execution roadmaps for seamless BI delivery.
  • Drive the standardization and automation of BI pipeline workflows, report generation, and dashboard refresh processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute Data & Analytics platform strategies and drive a data-first culture across the organization.
  • Support PepsiCo’s Data & Analytics program and platform management, ensuring alignment with large-scale global data initiatives.
  • Assist in Data & Analytics Technology Transformations by enabling proactive issue identification, self-healing capabilities, and ongoing platform sustainment across the PepsiCo Data Estate. 

Your Impact

As Senior Manager, D&AI BIOps (Business Intelligence Operations) North America your scope would consist of:

  • Ensure high availability and optimal performance of BI tools such as Power BI, BOBJ, Tableau, MicroStrategy, and SAP BO.
  • Implement real-time observability, monitoring, and predictive analytics to enhance BI system efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Support efforts to optimize data models, enhance report performance, and reduce query execution times.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering, Analytics, AI/ML, CloudOps, and DataOps teams to enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Act as a key liaison between IT, business leaders, data stewards, and compliance teams to ensure BIOps align with regulatory and security requirements.
  • Provide regular program updates, risk assessments, and BIOps maturity progress to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Manage end-to-end BI operations and sustainment, including testing and monitoring processes to support global products and projects in collaboration with Data Engineering teams.
  • Oversee daily data product support, service-level agreements (SLA) adherence, and effective engagement with SMEs to meet business demands.
  • Partner in the work intake process and Agile management practices for data platform teams, driving operational excellence and alignment with PepsiCo’s objectives.
  • Establish and maintain structured processes for automation, operational policies, and crisis management to ensure rapid issue mitigation and incident response.
  • Foster a culture of customer obsession, enabling team members to advocate for customers and deliver an exceptional user experience.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, using active listening, problem-solving, and transparency to address challenging customer situations while managing expectations.
  • Build and sustain a high-performing, diverse team with the capabilities needed to achieve current and future business objectives.
  • Enable agility within the team by removing barriers and allowing for swift prioritization changes without impacting productivity.
  • Leverage technical expertise in cloud infrastructure and high-performance computing to build a deep understanding of business needs and earn trust in relationships across the organization.
Qualifications

¿Who Are We Looking For?

Experience required:

  • 10+ years of technology work experience in a large-scale global organization – CPG preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in the Data & Analytics field, with a focus on BI operations.
  • 8+ years of experience working within a cross-functional IT organization.
  • 7+ years of experience in leadership or management roles.
  • Ability to empathize with customers, convey confidence, and effectively explain highly technical issues to varied audiences.
  • Ability to prioritize and advocate customer needs to the appropriate channels, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership, drive results, and delight customers through operational excellence.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and fostering a customer-first culture.
  •  Openness to learning new skills and technologies in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Proven track record of providing technical support for mission-critical solutions in a Microsoft Azure environment.
  •  Familiarity with modern site reliability practices, including automated remediation, improved scalability, and operational resilience.
  • Experience driving operational efficiency and excellence in managing large-scale, mission-critical BI solutions.
  • Ability to create and execute strategic plans across multiple teams and time horizons, with a focus on operational effectiveness, cost reduction, and dynamic prioritization.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain cross-functional relationships based on trust, respect, and partnership.
  • Proven ability to drive consensus across virtual teams and multiple functions through clear communication, thorough planning, and effective execution.
  • Track record of delivering excellent results in challenging and transformational environments.
  • Experience working across the PepsiCo organization or similar global enterprises, ideally with multi-country or global data implementation experience.
  • Understanding of key concepts related to master data management, data standards, analytics, and digital transformation.
  • Strong knowledge of data acquisition, data catalogs, data standards, and data management tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and persuade at all organizational levels while fostering lasting partnerships.
