Job Description

Overview

Main Purpose:

The job holder is responsible for supporting & ensuring consistent implementation of processes & policies related to the various domains of Human Resources, i.e. Canteen Management, Employee Engagement & Welfare, CSR agenda and Administrative Requirements.

Responsibilities

Accountability:

  • The incumbent is responsible for overall upkeep of the cafeteria management in terms of hygiene, maintenance and stock management, ensure that all benefits are available to the employees and no grievance remains unresolved
  • Ensure regular meetings of the Canteen Management Committee and records its minutes. The actions agreed in the meeting to be timely implemented.
  • Responsible for proper maintenance of the financial accounts of the canteen in terms of expenses and monthly collection.
  • Responsible for Employee Engagement and Welfare Activities
  • Responsible for execution of communication calendar for the site which includes monthly town-hall, bi-monthly newsletter, skip level meetings, LCD display and proper cascading of global messages of PepsiCo and PGCS, other communication forums.
  • Employee Medical: Responsible for ensuring the doctor’s visit to factory as per the agreed contract terms. The incumbent is also responsible for ensuring the periodical medical examination of the employees as per the policy and applicable laws.
  • Employee Welfare: Incumbent is responsible for timely distribution of various employee welfare items as per the prevalent practice after aligning the teams.
  • The position is also responsible for driving the CSR agenda for the site. For this, the incumbent is responsible for motivating the employees and adopting a collaborative approach. The incumbent is expected to brainstorm within the teams and record the ideas generated for developing the community. Basis the ideas received; he/she is expected to ensure the execution of the ideas through cross-functional teams with maximum participation from all plant employees.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance of the plant’s administrative requirements
  • Responsible for ensuring the plant’s requirement in terms of stationery, proper seating and building requirements, Visa letters for international travels
  • The incumbent is also responsible for facilitating employees in terms of travel, stay and other related arrangements
  • The incumbent is responsible for formulating the annual operating plans for the cost heads under its control
  • Partner with HR manager in ensuring that the costs are within the annual plans.
  • The incumbent is responsible for proper upkeep of the admin block in terms of housekeeping and good maintenance practices.
  • Incumbent is also responsible for maintaining the horticulture of the plant through proper upkeep and regular maintenance.
  • Incumbent is also responsible for ensuring the monthly GMP audits of the above mentioned area and closing the gaps that come out of the said audit.
  • Keep track of inventory of Office Supplies & Operating Supplies
Qualifications

Key Skills/Experience Required:

  • Graduate with a diploma/degree in relevant discipline with experience in FMCG.
  • Ideal industry working experience of 4 to 5 years is desired.
  • Knowledge about labour Laws & applicable statutory acts.
  • Hands on computer proficiency.
  • The candidate should be pro-active, passionate and result oriented.

  • The position is an independent position with complete authority, responsibility and accountability.
  • The incumbent is expected to deal with all the stakeholders for delivering the key people agendas of the site.
  • The position holder works under the constraint of season business. He/she needs to work
  • closely with the production planning team to ensure that the employee events are well planned and there is maximum participation of the plant employees.
  • The person has to engage with the functional leads, line leaders and the plant employees for ensuring the agenda’s like trainings, CSR,.
